3 April 2019

Queenstown’s huge mountain peaks, breathtaking lake, and deep canyons make it an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. From hiking trails, to ski slopes, to skydiving, there is no shortage of things to do outside all year round in Queenstown!

But, what about when it is raining? Some people might think that during bad weather you should hide out in your hotel and hope for the weather to pass. However, that is not the case!

There are actually many fun and exciting things to do in Queenstown in the rain, and in this blog, we are going to tell you exactly what they are!

  1. Day Trip to Milford Sound

Milford Sound is one of those unique places that is just as amazing (if not better) in the rain! The rain creates hundreds of tiny waterfalls on the cliffs and everywhere you look you will be amazed. Not only that, but the rain also gives Milford Sound that “moody” vibe in which it is famous for.

On a day trip to Milford Sound, you will be sheltered from the rain on one of our comfortable coaches during the journey there. Then, once you’ve arrived in Milford, you will board your scenic cruise and enjoy the views from inside our catamaran.

This means you will not only get to see Milford Sound in its most beautiful form but also stay dry at the same time!
