According to Maori legend, Piopiotahi (Milford Sound) was carved out by Tu-te-rak-whanoa, an atua (godly figure), who was given the task of shaping the Fiordland coast. You can just imagine the atua creating the majestic fiord as you fly overhead admiring his work.

A Heli/Cruise/Heli or Coach/Cruise/Heli is the ultimate Milford Sound experience, taking in magnificent views of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers and forest.  Your trip will take approximately four hours and includes a hotel pick up, return scenic flight, a glacier landing and your cruise in Milford.  Your pilot will provide commentary on the untouched wilderness that can only be seen from the air.
