For the best view of Milford Sound, take to the skies to experience this majestic region from every perspective.    

 

According to Maori legend, Piopiotahi (Milford Sound) was carved out by Tu-te-rak-whanoa, an atua (godly figure), who was given the task of shaping the Fiordland coast. You can just imagine the atua creating the majestic fiord as you fly overhead admiring his work.

A fly/cruise/fly or coach/cruise/fly is the ultimate Milford Sound experience, taking in magnificent views of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers and forest.  Your trip will take approximately four hours and include hotel pick up,  return scenic flight and your cruise in Milford.  Your pilot will provide commentary on the untouched wilderness that can only be seen from the air.
