Thank you for one of the best days ever! This was a cruise which all of your team, in doing what they do everyday, impressed me to no end. Everyone genuinely enjoyed what they were doing and I put this down to the laid back demeanour of the Skipper. His commentary was majestic, and I really mean that, running a tour operation in Cairns, I'd love to have staff of the skippers calibre. He delivered information in an easy to understand manner, is entertaining and is perfectly suited to what he does. He put so much more in than the other Captains, we saw them cruising past where we had great explanations of what we were looking at. I will recommend you cruises to everyone I know and promote Southern Discoveries to our loval travel agents. If they miss YOUR boat, they will miss Milford Sound.

A brilliant experience from start to finish! Impressed from the start to finish! Impressed from the start with the polite, friendly and very professional lady we met at the desk in the visitors centre. Loved the smaller boat (Lady Bowen), the tea/coffee freely available and the very informative (and not too loud) commentary. The underwater observatory was a fabulous end to the trip.

The weather in Milford Sound can be "dicey", but on the day we went, the sun shone, the Sound gleamed, and we had a wonderful time. The food on the boat was quite good - and the commentary was very good - well informed staff, and immaculate conditions - it did exceed our expectations - and we would recommend Southern Discoveries to our friends.

Definately exceeded expectations in terms of boat/staff and freedom to roam the boat. Cruise was great; staff excellent and I was very glad to have chosen this line over the others. I enjoyed not being overcrowded and able to roam around the boat without being afraid of losing my seat/spot! Right amount of commentary - not too much so that it spoiled the nature vibe but informative about what we saw. Definately exceeded expectations in terms of boat/staff and freedom.

Fantastic Experience. With so many choices of companies and tour options we are all so glad that we picked this one. It is the only one with the BBQ meal which was fantastic, the food was good and very generous. This trip is the longest available so got to experience the sound fully. Fully recommend it to anyone.

Loved it. It was a perfect day so the cruise was perfect for experiencing the sights and scenery of Milford Sound. It was a higlight for us on the trip. The open upper deck of the new and modern boat gave us unobstructed views of the mountains, rivers and waterfalls. We also got up close and personal to the Sterling and Bowan falls which was very cool and another highlight! The small group of people made it an intimate and comfortable journey. The food was delicious, although unexpected, was an actual BBQ. The tea and coffee helped to keep us warm! The crew were friendly and helpful (took photos for my husband and I) and continuously kept the tables and areas clean and tidy.
